It's holiday but I'm not able to escape from work. Yes, I brought home with me a pile of papers and stuff to work on over the lenten season, for I have to e-mail to my boss a research report on Saturday. This situation reminds me of how I commemorated the Holy Week last year. I was in the boarding house with my thesis partner, Jeg doing our thesis which we had to submit to our adviser on Black Saturday (Thanks to our adik roomie Chin who joined us in observing the Holy Week by also working on their thesis... ;) )
And now, I'm doing it again. I have to stay up 'till dawn just to finish this report. If only I have a choice, I would leave this thing in the office, make the most out of my four-day vacation and just get back on it on Monday. Unfortunately, I can't definitely do that. I can't tell my boss to request the client to postpone the submission of the report. I absolutely can't much more after all the "blunders" I've done weeks before (Right, Mona? hehe!). Sigh. What I can do now is sit in front of the computer, look at the files about this report, and start picking my brain. And truly, I'm not enjoying it. This extended work really spoils my vacation...
* Thanks to my bros for teaching me how to type blindly on the keyboard. As I'm typing this entry, the only light that shines our small room is the one coming from this computer because Diko wanted the flourescent light turned off for him to get to sleep. For that, I can't see the the keys I'm tapping. Good thing I learned how to type without looking at the keyboard (though I still have to lift it near the light from time to time to see the unfamiliar keys). My bros' insistence paid off. ;) Thanks also to Mavis Beacon. :D Another thing, the small insects crawling on the screen really irritate me!
