Narda
I generally don't like Kamikazee lalo na yung music nila (yung may growling :D) pero I like their latest song Narda. Nagustuhan ko yung melody kasi di siya masyadong maingay and astig yung pagtugtog nila. ;) At dahil diyan paulit-ulit kong pinapatugtog yung kanta... :D
Narda
by Kamikazee
Tila ibon kung lumipad
Sumabay sa hangin
Akoy napatingin
Sa dalagang nababalot ng hiwaga
Mapapansin kaya
Sa dami ng 'yong ginagawa
Kung kaagaw ko ang lahat
May pag asa bang makilala ka
Awit na nananawagan
Baka sakaling napakikinggan
Pag ibig na palaisipan
Sa kanta na lang idaraan
Nag-aabang sa langit
Sa mga ulap sumisilip
Sa likod ng mga tala
Kahit sulyap lang Darna
Ang swerte nga naman ni Ding
Lagi ka nyang kapiling
Kung ako sa kanya
Niligawan na kita
Mapapansin kaya
Sa dami ng 'yong ginagawa
Kung kaagaw ko ang lahat
May pag asa bang makilala ka
Awit na nananawagan
Baka sakaling napakikinggan
Pag ibig na palaisipan
Sa kanta na lang idaraan
Nag-aabang sa langit
Sa mga ulap sumisilip
Sa likod ng mga tala
Kahit sulyap lang Darna
Tumalon kaya ako sa bangin
Para lang iyong sagipin
Ito ang tanging paraan
Para mayakap ka
Darating kaya
Sa dami ng ginagawa
Kung kaagaw ko sila
Paano na kaya?
Awit na nananawagan
Baka sakaling napakikinggan
Pag ibig na palaisipan
Sa kanta na lang idaraan
Nag-aabang sa langit
Sa mga ulap sumisilip
Sa likod ng mga tala
Kahit sulyap lang Darna

Unique. Different. Special.
Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
Matthew 25:14-15
"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey." (NIV)
"For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey." (KJV)
To Each His Own
I cannot change the way I am,
I never really try,
God made me different and unique,
I never ask him why.
If I appear peculiar,
There's nothing I can do,
You must accept me as I am,
As I've accepted you.
God made a casting of each life,
Then threw the old away,
Each child is different from the rest,
Unlike as night from day.
So often we will criticize,
The things that others do,
But, do you know, they do not think,
The same as me and you.
So God in all his wisdom,
Who knows us all by name,
He didn't want us to be bored,
That's why we're not the same
~Author Unknown~
Thank You Lord, for fearfully and wonderfully crafting me to be one of Your unique masterpieces...
Thank You for making me special in my own little ways...
Thank You for showing me that for whatever I am, whatever I have, I am loved, I am cherished -- especially by You...

What About Men?
Got this from an e-mail of a friend...
Advice from Oprah About Men
- If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
- If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
- Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour.
- Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
- Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.
- Slower is better.
- Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
- If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends".? A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
- Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
- Don't stay because you think "it will get better."? You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
- The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
- Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?
- Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
- Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
- If something bothers you, speak up.
- Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
- You cannot change a man's behaviour. Change comes from within.
- Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are... even if he has more education or in a better job.
- Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
- Never let a man define who you are.
- Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
- A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
- All men are NOT dogs.
- You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is two way street.
- You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
- You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.
- Dating is fun... even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
- Make him miss you sometimes... when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted.
- Never move into his mother's house.
- Never co-sign for a man.
- Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.
- Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
- Share this with other women... You'll make someone smile, another rethink her choices, and another woman prepare.

I Love...
You First Believed
Hoku
How many times did I pray
You'd find me
How many wishes on a star
Gazing off into the dark
Dreaming I'd see your face
Safe at home unafraid
Captured in your embrace
So many times
When my heart was broken
Visions of you
Would keep me strong
You were with me all along
Guiding my every step
You are all that I am
And I'll never forget
It was you who first believed
In all that I was made to be
It was you looking in my eyes
You held my hand
And showed me life
And I've never been the same
Since you first believed
There were times
When I'd thought I'd lost you
Fearing forever was a dream
But it wasn't what it seemed
Placing your hand in mine
You could see in the dark
You were guiding my heart
It was you who first believed
In all that I was made to be
It was you looking in my eyes
You held my hand
And you showed me life
And I've never been the same
Since you first believed
How many times did I pray
You'd find me
How many wishes on a star

Love = Hurt
"...the moment you love someone you have given him the capacity to hurt you, that how much you hurt is equal to how much you have loved..."
"Ayokong ma-in love. Kasi takot akong masaktan..." I remember telling this to my very good friend, Jeg, in one of our late-night conversations about "love" when we were still room mates in Mahinhin. She replied, "Hindi mo malalamang nagmamahal ka kung hindi ka masasaktan...."
Do love and hurt really go together?

Feb Fest
I welcome the month of February with much thrill and delight because of the exciting events that are going to transpire. The mere thought of them brings me joy and I really, really hope I'd be able to be part of those happenings. :) (Lord, please, no work on weekends... ;) )
What makes my February festive?
- February 4 - Me and my baby's 10th monthsary :)
- February 5 - The Franklin Graham Festival in Rizal Park, Manila. Have not yet asked my churchmates regarding this one but I surely want to be present in this event.
- February 11 - IEMELIF Youth's National Prayer Day in Orani, Bataan. First youth activity of our church for the year. I'm glad I'd be able to attend this activity. :)
- February 14 - ok, Valentine's Day...haha! I remember last year I was wishfully thinking of...hehe! :p
- February 17 - CROI meeting! Plans are still tentative but hopefully we could do our "genmeet" (hihi!) in the Sunken Garden together with the salbakutings(!), just like last year! haha! And with Chin's approval, we wish to have the continuation of the "genmeet" (an overnight one) at her condo unit. (Chin, please...hehe!)
- February 18-19 - Gary V.'s Post-Valentine Concert (with Zsa-Zsa Padilla) at The Fort. I've always wanted to see any of his concerts, but unfortunately, this one coincides with another special event. :( I think I will just have to watch out for his other upcoming concerts.
- February 19 - Our local church's (Gen. Tinio IEMELIF Church) 95th (or 96th? not sure eh... :D ) anniversary
- February 26 - Our national church's 96th (or 97th) founding anniversary to be held in PICC
So these are some of the reasons for me to celebrate February! May God give me the luxury of time to do so... ;)
